Sun hat or cap (optional).

What should I bring?

We recommend you take a small bag with a towel and a change of clothes for the end of the day, this will be kept on our vehicle and meet you at the finish point.

Can I bring my camera?

We strongly recommend you leave your camera, jewellery and any valuables at home.

What if the weather conditions are not ideal?

It is summer all year round in Uganda. The country straddles the equator which means there is no winter and no summer months and you can come at any time of the year. Temperatures in most parts of the country vary between 25’C and 30’C (77’F and 86’F) dropping only by 5’C overnight. Traditionally May and November are the wetter months in the country where morning cloud build-ups are followed by torrential rain and spectacular thunder and lightning shows.

We will definitely return!
Our recent stay at River Club exceeded all expectations, the photos on booking.com do not do the property justice and it is much nicer than it looks. The rooms were super comfortable and best of all spotlessly clean, the food was also exceptional. The Chefs are the same Chefs as their 5 star property on the Island so you get the food without the price tag. We will definitely return to River Club and recommend it to our friends.

This is the place
We spent 3 nights at River Club and thoroughly enjoyed out time on the Nile, the view from the rooms and the restaurant are amazing and we spent hours just hanging out watching the Nile below us, the fisherman were catching fresh fish that they bring to the kitchen and we ate the freshest fish we have ever eaten. The staff all come from the local village and they are some of the kindest and friendliest people we met in 3 weeks in Uganda. If you want to relax and enjoy the Nile without spending a fortune this is the place.

Friends and family
In my mind, I told myself, 'If I can just get our team to Jinja and Adrift, I know everything will be OK!'. I scrutinize every detail of our trip and try to play out every scenario to cover all of our bases. But as missions goes, you never know what to expect. Except when it comes to Adrift. My history with you and your team has proven that you hold the same values as I do. Attention to detail at all costs and integrity. You and your team did not make us feel like a client, but made us feel like friends and family.

Beautiful location, affordable price, exceptional management
The property was beautiful, the staff were very helpful and accommodating. I have now stayed at this property twice and each time it exceeds my expectations. If you're looking for a great place to stay that's NICE, clean, safe, able to cater to an international crowd, and affordable look no further! I plan to continue to take family and friends to visit as we travel to Jinja for trips. I also HAVE to shout out their on-site Manager, Robert. He is an INCREDIBLY thoughtful, professional, and seasoned manager. I WISH every hotel I stayed at had a manager like Robert. He ensures guests feel welcome, safe, and accommodated with whatever needs they have. I can't emphasize enough how important that is to me personally, and how much of a difference it makes when you're far from home, or traveling with friends.

Fantastic adventure in Jinja Uganda
"The best run company I have found in Africa. The price was right, great service. Many workers at the launch site to assist with breakfast and prep for the trip. Guides gave full and technical explanation of what to expect on the river. They explained for every level of understanding and experience. This trip is good for beginners (like we had in our boat), or experienced rafters like us. The water temperature was very comfortable, so swimming in the quiet sections was fine."

Adventures on the Nile!
"It was a brilliant day out and I couldn't fault any of it. The staff were very professional, well organised and with a 'safety first' attitude. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful and made sure that everyone enjoyed the adventure on the water. I certainly hope to go back to Adrift and maybe next time I will try stand up paddling or a water based activity that's a little more leisurely, thank you!"

If travelling to Jinja, this is a Must!
"Travelling through Jinja, Whitewater Rafting was the highlight of activities. The guides are so well trained and thorough on safety procedures. The rapids are incredible and I cannot say enough about how professional and experienced are the photographers. They produced amazing shots! Huge thank you to Roberto our guide who was fantastic, our two boat guides Kizza and Ronnie and to the best Kayaker in Jinja Sausi! Highly recommended."
